Avocados, Tequila… and Workouts?
Hi. I’m Illy, with X-Force Body, and I’m here getting ready for Cinco de Mayo – in celebration of Mexico’s independence –
Okay, I’ve just been informed that Cinco de Mayo is not about Mexican independence . . . it’s a celebration of their victory in the battle at Puebla during the Franco-Mexican war. Anyway, good for you Mexico for winning that war –
Okay, I’m told France actually won that war. But nice try, Mexico. Regardless, you still deserve this festive holiday –
Okay, apparently Cinco de Mayo is not a federal holiday in Mexico. Whoever wrote this vlog script should be fired. But here is something that is true: Americans consume more than 81 million pounds of avocados on Cinco de Mayo every year. And avocados are incredibly heart-healthy and nutritious. Plus, they can help you bust hunger by making you feel fuller and more satisfied. And then perhaps you can splurge on some tequila like they do in Mexico.
Okay, looks like the United States consumes twice as much tequila as Mexico every year. Whatever! I give up. If you have any questions, you can email me at Illy@XForceBody.com. See you next time!
